Sir Tony Blair has actually urged Britain to accept AI and nurses as he stated the world was 'in the foothills' of the most significant tranformation given that the Industrial Revolution.

He also provided a withering verdict on the civil service, claiming it was a 'conspiracy for inertia' with a 'genius for absorbing the impetus for modification and suffocating it'.

A current Government experiment with AI - including 20,000 civil servants throughout 12 major organisations - conserved authorities approximately 26 minutes a day.

Speaking at the SXSW celebration in London, Sir Tony said: 'We're in the foothills of the most transformative revolution because the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century.

'Government's everything about procedure, so you might use AI to accelerate the procedure of the federal government, making sure that we do, for instance, all the routine jobs of government much more efficiently.

'You might be reacting to people in a much more delicate, much faster, better, more effective way.

'If, for example, you're able to merge information sets across departments, you're going to save cash.

'You're going to analyse, based on health information, in a way that permits you to make better health policy.

'And then, when you look in civil services, you must be able to customise education in the future.

'You could have AI tutors, you should have AI nurses, AI doctors. We are currently doing a lot of imaging much, better through using AI.

'It will make [federal government] much smaller, more efficient, cost less and offer a much better service to the client.'

Sir Tony stated AI was neither 'good' nor 'bad' but a power that required to be utilized properly.

He urged 'resistant' authorities to welcome the new technology, including: 'When I was maturing, people stated the civil service was a Tory conspiracy.
